Yum!  One of my favorite jobs to do for Mom & Dad is clean the peanut butter jar before they recycle it!  It’s a tough job, but someone’s gotta do it!

My First National Park!!

I went to my first national park! It was the Olympic National Park and although I had to sit in the truck while my parents took a hike (something about the National Parks protect wildlife – blah, blah, blah - but hey – I can be wild!), I saw and smelled a deer just a few feet away, enjoyed watching people meander by, and got a lot of people pointing at me sitting in the driver’s seat saying, “Awe, look at the cute dog.”

To top it off, my parents had hamburgers that night for dinner and Dad dropped his on the ground (they were eating outside). Score!

What Do I Do When My Parents Are Gone?

So I mentioned a couple days ago in my post about the lavender farm that my parents were out on a hike, which is how I got some time on their computer. You may have wondered, “What does Zoey do while her parents are gone from the rig for a while?” Well, here ya have it:

I went to a lavender farm! My parents wrote about it a couple days ago, and now while they’re on a hike and I’m chillin’ in the rig alone, I finally got some time on the computer to write about my experience. There were lots of good smells – in fact, they use oyster shells in some parts as organic fertilizer and that was cool to sniff! I even got to finish-off the lavender ice cream my parents shared – yum!!

I'm Officially A Fulltiming Dog!

We’re on the road! We drove here Sunday (which in dog years was 21 days ago) and I thought I’d share my truck digs with ya. So Dad (Brad to you) built me the coolest bench seat to ride comfortably in the truck – it sits on the regular seat and gives me lots of room to sit and stare out the front window, poke my nose out the side window, and lie down to take a nap when I’m done watching and smelling the world go by. Isn’t the red dog print material cute? Mom found that – it’s cozy and soft. When they leave me in the truck to do stuff the I can’t do (eat in restaurants, for example), I take it upon myself to jump over the center console and keep the front seats warm. Yup ~ I’m that thoughtful!
